Any one got any tips, puting in at paris landing, never been its a big lake, want a fun trip

Get a Hotspots map FOR SURE! It really gave me some starting points and helped tremendously because of it's size. Keep your ears open and talk to the locals...alot are more than willling to give info. I also suggest you be very careful running the lake due to the fact you can be in the channel one minute and a foot of water in a heartbeat. Stay in the channel when running.

So be careful for sure. Ledge fishing should be the ticket this time of year.

Don't forget Barkley either, it's one of may favs;)

Are you fishing the American Bass Anglers National Championship? If not that ramp is going to be very busy so you might want to choose another launch.

You should be able to go to the backs of any of the coves and find them schooling up on baitfish. You'll catch tons of 1-2# fish. The grass is nowhere to be found unless you travel south (45 miles). You might find some fish schooling on some main lake flats, but the coves will probably be your best bet for some really good action. The ledges will be pretty much dead unless you get lucky and find the perfect one - probably not worth wasting your time. We're at the time of year where a 15# sack will put you in the top 5 at about any tournament and you won't see any of the 20+ pound sacks getting weighed. On the other hand, for fun fishing you can easily have 30-50 fish days, just most of them will be smaller fish.
