when is your new Boat going to get in?

I talked to the guys at bass pro at tha Dallas boat show, and they didn't even have one at the show.... sounds like they are hard to get.. If you have yours soon, let me know I would like to take a look at it.

Kraig

Kraig,

I've been told it should be to the dealer the first week of March. I'm driving to Longview the day I find out it is in.

Tex,

Sold it last Friday. I think he hated to see it go. He'll be looking for another one in a few months, I know him. I'm gonna try to get him in a Nitro. KENNY

You're not related to Jim Lively, are you? Haven't seen him around here lately (or anywhere else, for that matter).

Adam,

We got a Jim Lively lives around my home town that I am related to. But you are probably referring to the one that lives in the Geogia area, I think. No relation, but I think all of us Lively's can be traced back to great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great...., Grandpa James that came over in 1600's and settled in Georgia, so maybe so. KENNY

Kenny is pretty much on the money there. Every generation of Lively's since the 1600's has had a James in it named after the old goat. Which ain't so bad I guess. But some of the Biblical names he required to go along with James I could do without.

Adam, I've been kind of laying low for the last year and a half. When my dad died (also James), then I lost the job, then had to sell the boat, I kind of went into a tailspin. Just basically dropped off the radar screen, pissed off at the world.

But I saw Sue Delelys (Guest Chargers) at the BPS show today and she said people here had asked about me so I thought I would check in and see how the old gang is doing.

Kenny, if you ever get out this way, give me a shout and we'll go fishing. I live on Lake Allatoona.

I'll be out at Big Sam in the fall for a fishing get together.

Jim

Hey, Jim!

GREAT to see you again!

Did I ever tell you that I did end up buying Thumper's Nitro 2000?

You NEED to come to the rally!

April 12th and 13th at Kentucky Lake.

me!

Hey Scott, my vertically challenged friend!!!! How have you been? Sue and I talked bad about you at the show today. It was really great to see her, although I was there at the request of another charger manufacturer.

That cloud that formed over my head three years ago still seems to be there. My most recent bad luck was blowing the Merc 200 into the stratosphere down in Florida earlier this month. It wouldn't be so bad but I bought that boat and motor about 7 or 8 years ago and built the motor and it's been pure until now. Overheated enough to melt the insulation inside the cowling. I haven't torn it down yet but I suspect a couple of bad holes.

I'm glad to see you got Thumper's 2000. That's one of my favorite boats in a single console. I'm still not too fond of duals.

I'm kind of looking around for another basket case to rebuild. I told Sue today that of the 42 boats I've bought and rehabbed, that 185TF is the only one that I would gladly give the buyer his money back to get it back. And I made money on that boat! I'm hoping I can find an early 90's 190 or 2000 to bring back. There seem to be a few down in Florida.

On the other hand, I've kind of gotten it into my head to go to a new boat. And I should have enough contacts in the industry to get some kind of team deal. I've just never had one offered yet.

My e-mail is still [email protected]. Shoot me a line and bring me up to date on what's happening in your world. Is it pissass cold up in MO right now? It was 70 here today.)

Jim

Well, Jim..... I was gonna ask you about building my 200..........

I don't wanna hear about 70 degree weather, either! We've got a storm coming through tomorrow.

Sorry about the streak of bad fortune that has been going your way. Lost my job, too. Happened just a couple of months after I bought the boat. Lost a job just a few months after I bought my last boat, too; you think that maybe someone is trying to tell me sumpthin'? Now selling loading dock equipment - dock levelers, dock seals, dock doors, etc. Still trying to win the lottery; one thing where practice simply doesn't seem to help!

Like I said, you need to come to Kentucky Lake for the Rally! Officially Saturday and Sunday, April 12th and 13th - but some of us are getting there Thursday afternoon. It would be an honor to meet you in person!

me!
