Guys - was at BPS on Sunday (filled the cart with my surprize Birthday Presents for the boys to buy for me for next Saturday!) and the boat show-room was 1/2 empty. They told me it's year end clearance time and most of the floor models were sold. BUT saw a brand spanking NEW 2003 Pro Tream 165, first thing i notices was NO RIVETS!!

Ken - So is the whole Pro line of Tracker boats going all welded? I didn't think to check the spec's to see if they widened the 165 like they did the 175 last year? Any news if the Pro Crappie 175 will go all welded too??

Trep, how was the fishin' weekend? Did ya get any?

This new BPS outdoor world is really shabby on the number of new boats on display as compared to the old outdoor warehouse on Shackleford road. They also don't have any campers or motorhomes anymore! Whatup wit dat???

Ben - Sorry to hear your dismay with the amount of boats on display at our new Outdoor World. However, this new location is much larger and regularly has several more indoor models to view than our previous location. Toward the end of the boating season our current year models are limited to the items in stock (unless transferred or traded with another dealer) and as the factory produces the upcoming year's inventory we add the new models to our sales floor. As in years past, you will notice more new inventory weekly as the boat show season approaches (in January) when we strive to have enough models in stock to start off another year. Our record sales this year have also limited our supply on display. In an agreement with the Mills Corp. our outdoor display area is limited to our immediate building. This eliminated our familiar parking lot displays. We have not carried R.V.'s since well prior to our move.

Ben - No fish Saturday night. I took a friend and we downlined and freelined shiners over suspended fish in Yound Deer creek and around the dam to no avail from 5pm - 10pm. Checked a few reports and it seems the bite got HOT after 10:30pm, that's my luck. We had a few nibbles (shiners comming back half scaled) but no takers. Took the boys on the Hooch yesterday morning for 3 hours and loaded up on good sized trout (browns and rainbows) on thier Mickey Mouse combos. Had one 15 inc brown think he was a LM, he made a dozen or so great JUMPS a foot or more in the air!

Dan - Looked for you on Sunday, was up at the store shoping for my birthday! Noticed most of the boats gone, a nice lady in the Info booth (just in front of the electric boat) informed me that they were selling the floor models of last year's inventory, new boats comming soon!

Dan - You know anything more about the state of the 2003 Tracker models?

Hey Dan- that explains it! My comments were certainly not implying that I don't absolutely adore the store, because I do! I was just confused as to why there weren't as many boats on display. Thanks for clearing that up for me! I'll come introduce myself next time I'm there. What do you look like?

Trep - Sorry to have missed you. I'm usually in the store on Fridays, unless I'm on the water. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Now you're probably old enough to drink that homemade brew of yours.(LOL)The lake was beautiful this morning, especially after the past three days. Hope to see you out there one day. It's incredible what is possible to do with aluminum these days. There are even more improvements on the horizon throughout the line, including Tracker. This January's boat show will not be one to miss!

Ben - I'm easy to spot, 6'3", 300lbs., beard, usually behind the reel counter. There's some pics in My Library (Thanks Rich Stern!)Glad to meet you!

Dan - Can't WAIT for the boat show, it's a big outing for the family!!

I was NOT going to touch your size! LOL Big guy with a BIG heart!!

Hey, does Tracker have a trade-in program, so I can go get me a new Tundra!! LOL

Trep/Ken,

I am real curious to know more about a 2003 PT 165 that is welded. Is it true? I am out of a boat at the current moment and the PT 165 would be a nice little rig to get back in. The only things I did not like about that boat are the rivets and thin hull.

Now if you tell me that Tracker went to a .100 think hull, welded, and 75in beam I think I may have to buy a boat next season. I only run on a small lake so a big boat I do not need.

thanx

Tom

Where is Ken? Craig/Mac/Mini did someone kidnap him or turn his PC off??

I just got back from vacation....and boy, am I swamped here!!!

OK Ken you're call caught up now answer our question PLEASE!!!

YES!!!!!!!! All boats are All-Welded and YES, the 165 is .100...send me a check before we sell out!!!

Ken THANKS!! ALL Boats? Even the Pro Crappie 175?

Thanks Ken, Well that makes not owning a boat a little easier. Revolution hull also?? I wonder how pricing is going to be effected. Pro Angler still in the line up or is that gone?

I'll post more info as I get it....but yes, all boats above the Super Guide series are ALL-WELDED!!!

So I figure Tracker will offer a trade-in program for all pre-2003 model year boats. Something like - Bring your pre-2003 rivited Tracker in and for JUST the difference between what YOU actualy paid and the CURRENT sticker price, we'll trade you UP to the new boat in the same model all welded!!!!

Yup, i'm dreaming again!!!
