I have a new Walleye Tourney Partner... we got "hooked up" over on Walleye Central... So we have been getting ready by fishing together as much as possible. First, he is a saint...he can get along with me in a boat for an extended period of time (that's like more than a few minutes)...LOL And, we seem to have a compatible style... This should work out well for both of us..

Anyway, the real reason for the post is that John and I fished yesterday on the Illinois River...fishing was not spectactular but the day sure was... We had a shore lunch of home made chilli... And the weather was fantastic... got up over 40 degrees... Why you wimpy bass guys put your boats away... I'll never understand... a little sand and salt stuff on the ramp...four wheel drive... and viola..you're on the water...

So, for all you guys with your boats in the garages/under tarps/in storage...NANANANAANANANANANANANANA

I'd have mine on the water today except I don't have an ice auger big enough to make a hole to put my boat in... :)

Yes - I'm envious..............

I'm pullin' mine south soon - gotta get on plane!

Hey Greg, I wish you and your new "fishing" partner all the joy in the world. Will you be sending us wedding invitations or just announcements after the fact?

By the way, here in Texas, that whole ice and salt thing we reserve for margaritas. The ONLY reason I'm not in my boat right now is that if the rain doesn't let up, I'll need it to go to work in the morning :).

Wedding invites... heck no... This choosing a tourney partner is a whole lot more important than getting a wife...lol

Ice, Heck there was vehicles parked on the lake this weekend ice fishing. I'll talk to the coast guard maybe see if I can borrow their Ice Breaker for a weekend. Terrible gas mileage though.

Greg let me know if you get out on a Feb Day.. my boat is always ready to go and I have fished all over exept the Illinois River.. I could use some tips and I still have some Tracker Seats from my old boat and misc I will give you if our schedules ever match.-- Scott
