I tried to fish and stay out of the way. I felt like just being out there might have kept someone from the spot I was on. Twice I yielded to the pro on fishing spots, the first I was working around a point and Chris Lane came around the corner and I just pulled out and gave him the right of way, spoke briefly and let him get back to work and the other I was using the trolling motor to troll from one point to another and an unknown to me pulled up about a hundred yards in front of me and I waited for him to finish. He didn't catch one but I did, he was probably looking to inprove his bag so the dink I caught wouldn't have helped him. Mostly it was a bunch of guys flying around from point to point. I ended the day with about 6.5 lbs with 4 fish, if I remember right that beat 2 pros. Kinda interesting, I pulled into my favorite landing about 5:30am, dropped the boat off and parked the truck, started walking back to the boat and realized the rig next to me was a wrapped rig, so I went back to see who it was and it was the only pro I talked to on the water. I didn't go to the weigh in. Last year I went fishing at Clarks Hill and didn't realize the Elite was there, again pulled into my favorite ramp and KVD's rig was in the parking lot, parked right next to him too, got pics of both. I beat him in weight that day also with 3 fish. It was worth the trip and would recommend it to everyone. Thanks for asking.
