Ok...so I now have a stratos 275 proxl. They are wide boats and fish nice. Its powered by a 115. If i where to get a jackplate what would it do for me? Is it worth it? Any draw backs?

Thanks

Jackplates will re-distribute the weight further aft. Typically on a hi-perf boat the advantages outweigh the drawbacks. The prop runs in "cleaner" water, top speed is achieved with less trim for a more-efficient prop bite, and the motor can be raised for drag reduction. In your case...it would be experimental. Check your steering cables and throttle and shift to be sure of adequate length prior to install. ;)
