Anyone else use Navionics hotspots with their lowrance? I just inserted my first card, and it shows that I'm not on the water - and based on the wetness below me, I'm pretty sure I am. Looks like the map is offset or something - anyone know if I'm doing something wrong, or is the card defective??

How far are you off? Remember, GPS at it's best locked in location is still about + or - 8 to 9 feet of accuracy. That and where the level of the lake is, and the waterline, will give you this.

It's not unusual on my GPS (Garmin + hotspots) to show that I'm navigating 'land' where I'm near certain shorelines.

On my Garmin, I can tell from the satellite screen what my accuracy is. When I can get 5-6 satellites locked in, with WAAS enabled, I'm sometimes able to get it down to 8', especially on a lake.
