Thinking about adding some 3/16" closed-cell foam to the underside of my storage lids. What would be the best adhesive to use that would not loosen from the heat of the sun beaming-down on the deck in the heat of summer?

Double sided tape or velcrove strips if you think you may want to remove it in the future.

Good tip on the velcro. Thanks for the idea! :)

Velcro adhesive my loosen up too much. Try 3M Spray on adhesive. It is used for headliners on cars and can be found in any auto parts store.

I used the 1/2" foam board they use for house outside insulation and it does make a difference especially on the live well cover. If you cut it tight enough it will stay in on its own.

If you have any house construction going on around you, you can get enough off the scrap pile to do a boat.
