Installing new carpet

I have a magna deep v17 I am getting ready to put in new flooring and carpet, this is my first time of installing carpet and wanted to know if anyone had some advice or tips, my concern is doing the compartment lids since they are riveted on and have metal trim,, hope for some good tips.

I havn't attempted to do the carpet thing yet in my boat as I've decided to wait another season anyways. A good web site is bassboatcarpets.com . They seem to have some kits with installation advice. I would give them a call. Maybe some others have done this on boats like yours also.

Don, why not skip carpet? Spray-in bedliners in aluminum boats are becoming a popular option. First, the lifetime warranty is nice. Second, catfish slime rinses off. Third, don't get black (heat).

I'll be doing mine in the next couple of weeks.

Any suggestions on an adhesive?
