I have a Nitro 160TF with a 90 merc . I have tried about everything to solve my problem . New prop , jack plate , motor up , motor down . Here we go , when I am hooked up , and start trimming high , I pull hard left , if I trim down a little it is o.k . Now if I was normal person ,I would just not trim so high and it would be O.K. , but when you are trying to squeeze every mph avaible it PULLS. Oh and yes I have also adjusted the tab . Thanks

Bubby, when you are getting the hard pull, you really are simply trimmed up too high. Performance overall will suffer. Let the boat tell you where it's happiest.

Raise the motor. This will keep you from having to trim so high.

I don't care what you read on these sites... it's gonna pull some if you're getting the best performance out of it. Hydraullic steering will keep it from pulling, but it's still harder to turn one way than the other trimmed up enough.

My 700lx did the same thing but i adjusted the tab as wel and went to a stainless prop with the right pitch and just trim to feel for the neutral point where there is pretty much no torque on the wheel and this is where my boat gets the best speed on gps
