Im ready to buy

I'm ready to upgrade my electronics. I don't really need GPS for I fish the same 5-6 lakes and 2 rivers, but if combo units are the way to go, thats cool. I like the down scan and side image models. Both being very respected companies, I have no preference between Lowrance vs Humminbird. I'm sure I left out details which may be needed. I have a budget of $400-$600, which is burning a whole in my pocket. As always, thanks for all the input.

Eric, you might do some research on the new Humminbirds, several models have added the down imaging. If you want the full meal deal the 798 is the cheapest and I think your budget may be a bit short for that. Not sure about the Lowrance prices or features.
