I Officially Cancel Winter

Went out to the driveway, dug out my 929, hooked the hose up to her and fired her up (no sittin in the seat makin vroom, vroom sounds for me). I officially call an end to winter here in Virginia...NO MORE...If my tow vehicle didn't have to get inspected tomorrow, I would head for the lake!! Got her all cleaned up and I swear, she tried to get out of the driveway!! LOL I've got a trip scheduled for the 10th and I'm spittin on all of my tube baits right now (guide secret). I know I'll crop a woody with my first fish. The fever has broken. I'm goin out!!

I agree - I went out and climbed under the cover to look around and fix the tarp. Boy did I get the fever bad! Turned the wheel to make sure it still worked. Can't see the prop as it is under a couple of feet of snow. Did order some goodies from BPS though.

Thats exactly what I did Rick, I shoveled the banks away from the boat (we have had 30+ inches here in VA) and threw it on my blcaktop driveway. Sunshine and 50 degrees really made short work of the piles. I had to take the tow vehicle in for service this morning or I would have pulled her outta the bank and parked her on the driveway. Looks like the trailer wheels are a couple of inches frozen "underground" and it is now coooold here again today but if the truck gets done soon enough I'll pull her out. No more cover, no more cover, oh wait, it's supposed to rain Wednesday......

Even if it turned seventy degrees tomorrow it would still be a month or more before we can fish. My buddy tried to go ice fishing this weekend, couldn't drill a hole with their power auger. Needed a one ft. extension so they could get through the ice.
