Hyrofoil Install?

I just purchased a Stingray Junior Hydrofoil to install on my 25HP Mercury. In the installation instructions it says to cut the unit to fit the size of the motor. Can anyone tell me how much (if any) I should trim the hydrofoil to fit my motor? If it is cut too small the trim tab will be effected.

I think it is refering to the small area in the center that overlaps, you made need to cut that down to make it small enough to fit the cavitation plate properly...

Also, MAKE SURE you check the screw/hole placement UNDER the cavitation plate to ensure the holes will NOT go THROUGH the trim tab!! I came VERY close mounting my SE Sport 200 to drilling THROUGH the cavitation plate!!
