I finally finished cleaning up the yard, pasture and my daughter's yard from Hurricane Rita. Thank God we had no structure damage but alot of limbs, branches, leaves, pine cones and green pecans. I burnt it Sunday and didn't get into to trouble with the Fire Department. Fishing and hunting will suck for awhile around here in south Louisiana. The salt water that came in killed alot of fresh water fish and damaged the wild duck foliage. I hear in the marshes they have alot of dead deer, rabbits and squirrels. As the salt water went back into the Gulf, it screwed up the bays and inlets with all the debris. It'll take awhile to get back to normal. I thank God that we did not suffer the types of damage here in Lafayette as south of us and along the Gulf coast from Lake Charles to Biloxi and Mobile. We are expecting our first cool front this week. This will help the people cleaning up.
