Humminbird extend. warranty/Greg

I read that if you apply for Humminbird Select when you get the 800/900/1100 series you can get an extra year of warranty. This was on BBC by Vanderberg. Since I paid for an extended warrant with Universalmania when I ordered the unit does this mean I get 3 years warranty ? Is it the same warranty(i.e. covers same thing)? How can I find out? Hate to think I paid $69 for something that Humminbird offers for basically free!?

The extra year of warranty through the Humminbird Select program is the same as the original one-year warranty. I do not know anything about Universalmania

Thanks, Greg, will call Universalmania and ask what the story is tomorrow!!Sonar install going slow. Pulling all old stuff out took a while. Got in the Transducer Shield and saver for jackplate mount. Thanks again for all your assistance!
