I have a 1971 Evinrude 18 that I am going to sell. It runs great and i have never had a major problem with it. It has been in my family most of its life. It was my grandfathers that he bought from a friend.
I had one of those BJ when I had a 14' Jon boat years ago.
I sold it to my brother when I got a bigger boat and he sold it about five years after that. I heard from that guy last summer and that motor is still running like new.
It's one tough motor.
I don't know what I would ask for it so I guess I'm not much help but if it looks and runs good, someone with a 14'er should really want that motor.
