Hook Removal

Just reading the article made my finger hurt. Those removal techniques looked quite painful, but its bettert than walking around with a hook enbedded in your finger. Thankfully never had anything near as bad as the pictures.
 
Cut a treble off the lure with a pair of needlenose pliers and drove myself to the hospital to get it removed...not fun:(
 
I thought I'd see Greg Meyer's name as one of the authors:lol:! He did a pretty nice rendition of the "string technique" getting a hook out of some poor fella's scalp in Winneconne last year.

There is also drawbacks to that method in particular...ya' gotta remember if it's really deep, you can do nerve damage. I'd only use that if a hospital or Doctor's office wasn't close:blink:
 
Have had the "string method" performed from one of my fingers...

It works!!!!

Had a small bass on a rattl-trap jump out of my hand and bury the hook in the meat at the tip of my pinky...
