It was fun, but not as good as we were hoping for,....don't know why!! Had perfect conditions,....saw a few huge toads but couldn't get them to commit. Caught 7-8 on saturday, with the biggest being @ 4lbs.......sunday we only caught 2 and left for home about 12;30....had a GREAT time though!!
I think they were JUST getting ready to move up to spawn,..saw a lot of roamers and not nearly as many beds as we thought we'd see. That water up there is gin clear,..you can see bottom in 15ft...so long casts are req'd unless the fish are locked on beds,..then you can almost get right on top of them. We have a few pix's...we'll post them when we get them back!! It was a great weekend though,...can't wait to go back up there again! Water temps were in the mid 60's...sunny...the wind picked up a little on saturday though,...but sunday was primo! Boats ran great....all in all an excellent w'end!!
