Hey Pierre,..sorry you couldn't make it over!! We had an awesome classic!! Sales were great both in fishing and with boats!! Rick Clunn was in our XPS booth all day saturday, and Jimmy Houston, Randy Howell, Mark Menendez, Kim Stricker, Tommy Skarlis, Keith Kavajecz, and Mark Martin were all there too. We had our National and State Team Walleye Pro's there too....GREAT support and a lot of local talent was there to answer everyone's questions! We also got to meet Adam Murray,..he came up from Texas on business, and we all went over to Neeley's saturday after the show for a brew and BS session...didn't stay late though,..we all had to be back in the store by 8-9am sunday and after the hours we put in for these classics,...the sheets sound a helluva lot better than the bs! LOL!!! The show was over at 7pm sunday and I was doing rod handles at 6;30!!! When the PA announcement came at 7pm stating that the show was over and the store was closing,...I wanted to stand up and cheer!!..ahaha,...but I was too tired to holler,...i just put my pens away and took down my sign,...closed up shop and hung out the "gone home" sign!! Geez,..hard to believe the show season is over,..but we went out with a huge bang,...that's for sure!!! We'll catch up on the rest of the story in June at the rally,....seeya then!!

Mac

Show was a great success......sales were up 92 percent over last year....almost 140,000 people thru the doors on Saturday alone.....I hardly have a voice left!

Mini

Man, that's a marketing guys field day! What I could do with numbers like that. I can just bet Neeley's margins weren't too bad either. So Mac and Mini, you guys got a % right? 1% of gross sales I think would me reasonable! LOL Sorry I missed it. Sounds like a blast. Well, we'll have to make up for it at the rally!

We are taken care of quite nicely,............our store's Gen.Mgr is very fair and generous with us,...but we also work harder and do more for our store than any other stores State Team in the country!! THAT i know for sure,...and we'd put our "Year End Reports" up against anybody elses to prove it.....we work our tails off and it is very much appreciated and rewarded accordingly!

So you ARE getting a new Avalanche for FREE...cool.

JUST kidding everyone! Don't want to start any rumors that Ken is giving away free boats!

HA!!!,....Last time I looked at my name badge, it still said, "Bill"............not "FREE"

and I'm NOT buying (or signing for) anymore boats until my 901 is sold!!...Neeley's not THAT generous!!!

Hey Mac - when you do those rods at the stores do you charge by the rod or is that part of the "free" stuff? Just wondering since you do such great work!

I do them for FREE on any BPS labeled rod,.....Extremes, PQ's, and JLM Sig's......and a few Quantum KVD signature series since they are a BPS exclusive rod. It's a very unique and affective promotion.

I've had people at every show so far, take back a competitor's rod and bring back BPS rods just to have their name and a drawing on the handle,...a bait, or fish of any species,..they look cool!!!

One guy (a BPS employee here in Det) had me draw a Carp on his handle and write "Carp'n" over the top of the fish,...it had a little mud cloud around and behind the fish ,...it was one of my personal favorites from this past weekend...it turned out great!!....he loved it too. He's a hard core carp fanatic from what he was telling me!! I did a LOT of salt water fish in FLA....sails, permits, peacocks, reds, etc..etc.. Most of the other people usually choose a largemouth or smallie,.....followe closely by crankbaits, J&P's, and Texas Rigged worms......I need to do my new rods ASAP....probably next week!

OK Mac you come down to Atlanta (or w/in reasonable driving distance) and i'll bring my only GOOD rod (the Extreme i got with my boat) and you can do her up fine!

You'll appreciate this Mac, when i got the boat I decided I wanted to name her and the Wife said it was her choice. I thought cool, she's in the groove with me. I started to sweat when she was thinking of names (you know "Stinky", "Skinny"...) but she settled on (and is letter large off the stern side (pun intended Rich))...

S.S. Daddy!

I think it helped that for the first month I had her it was freezing here in GA and Noah and I spend every evening after dinner in the boat playing together!
