Are you guys part of the group that is trying to get St. Clair listed as one of the Great Lakes?? There was an article in the Burlington Free Press about a bunch of environmentalist weenies from Michigan trying to get "great lake" status. I just figured it was yous guys (PA word)!! I would need to see an official picture of an official smallie caught by an official member of this website caught during the last six months before I cast my vote!!!

LOL!!...."Environmentalist Weenies"?..hahahahha....NOPE!!

not us!!!...St. Clair is a great lake for fishin'...but it's hardly a GREAT Lake as far as size!!....St. Clair is nothing more than an "aneurism" in the middle of the St.Clair and Detroit river's connecting lakes Erie and Huron. Hardly worthy of "Great Lakes" status...BUT,..I'd rather see it be classified as a Great Lake BEFORE Champlain!! HELLOOO!!!!...Talk about a bunch of NY/Vt Weenies tryin' to move in on our stuff....gimme a break!!LOL

(as far as pix's.......no time to get the camera out....the fish are schoolin' and they have the feedbag on!! Pix's can wait!!) Marke will find out today!!!

Tight lines!!

You see Mac, it's statements like that, that make me want to come out there and spank your environmental weeniw arse! Don't be messin wid our lake see! Try as you may, but you can NEVER......EVER discredit the world class bass fishery that Champlain is. See, I read all the tourney results and comments, catch it on ESPN2 and TNN, and I haven't heard ANYONE yet call ST Clair the worlds best bass fishery, BUT many of the nations best pros who have fished both AND all the rest of the USA do regularly claim our lake to be the best they've fished! Hmmmmmmmmm Kinda makes ya wonder a bit, don't it???? Gee could dar be sumpin to dis Champlain ting????? (Bob, I friggured it out. We ain't bin speekin MI talk. They ain't bin unnerstanin us!)

as far as I'm concerned,.....you can have the title "World's BEST smallmouth Lake" and ALL of the publicity and fishing PRESSURE that will surely follow,..we saw it happen here and we are seeing the results of 3 Top 150's,...2 FLW's, and countless BFL's and Everstart's...

I don't care if we NEVER have another BIG tournament here,....send all those yahoo's to NY and let'em pound the dog meat out of YOUR lake....LOL....in the mean time, we'll go back to enjoying our world class fishery and get the BIG fish back they way it was BEFORE we got labeled as a "premier fishery" and every tom dick and harry came up here to "experience it"........Infact,..I'll do you a HUGE favor BigDog,.....I'll make my next Scales and Tales panel an "Invitation" from a couple TOAD smallies to "c'mon up and experience what it's like to fish a REAL lake!!"....I'll even make it an idle threat,..."Betya CAN'T catch me ya RedNeck Corn-pone!!"...LOL.....you'll have every bubba south of Plattsburgh pullin a boat up there to "git even!!"...LOLOL Heck, they'll probably even pull your TIRES out by the boat load to use as spares for their trailers and to "Move their houses up there, where they got's REAL BIG bassus!!"....consider your lake,.."TOAST".lol

Mac

UMMMMM, actually, it ain't all that great here ya know. I was just joshin ya! LOL Actually, we've already seen the surge. It helps the already crummy local economy and my guide service. Because once all the hacks pressure the fish and can't find the haunts, they call me. But a little less pressure would be OK too! I ain't tryin ta broadcast it to da wurld Mackelroy......just YOU! LOL NOW shut up and say "uncle" or we'll go on like this all winter again! LOL

gettin' nervous aye??..LOL...the power of the pen.....it'll beat "lip service" every single time!!! LOLOL

You may be good with a marker, but I'm good with a pen. I can write to editors of all outdoor magazines raving about the plentiful bounty of smallies and naked canadian women along the shores of St Clair.......oooooh, that's right, I'll fight dirty! Them redneck boys will drive right past Champlain on their way to St Clair, rubber dingys in tow! LOL

"Come to St Clair and enjoy scenic beauty. Fight leaping 5 lb smallmouth bass in pristine waters as you're cheered on by scantily clad local fishing groupy women. St Clair......it's everywhere you want to be!" LOL "And gas is only $1.00 a gallon!" It may not be true, but how much that you read is? It will still get them there before they realize it!

I'm off for one day with the family and you TWO are already up to your ears in Cabin Fever and it's just OCTOBER!! The Fall bite hasen't even hit yet, water temp's down here are 71-74.

All y'all keep it up and all those TOADS are gonna grab the next tanker truck for Georgia!

too bad they won't believe that,..they've already BEEN HERE and seen it!!!

They're all on their way to NY now!!,...they already pillaged St.Clair for all it's worth...time to go to NY to get some "new stuff!"..LOL Be nice to them....after all, remember you're trying to establish your career,...so when you see them draggin' grappling hooks through your tires,..just smile like a good boy and ask them if you can help'em!! LOL

I'll secretly sick Champy on 'em! Sickem boy! See that lil puddle jumpin 12 foot jonboat????? Go eat it!

I figured this posting would get you guys fired up! Maybe Ken and Marke will post their pics later so Rob can use them in his "Come to Lake St. Clair" fishing brochure. Might have to throw in a few Champlain fish pics so it looks more enticing!!

Hey Mac, I wish Champlain didn't get any publicity because every yahoo (besides Rob and I) from everywhere comes here to fish. I don't wish that kind of fishing pressure on anybody's home lake.

I remember just 5-8 short years ago. If you saw 5 or 6 bass boats on the water you thought the airforce guys were having a tourney again or perhaps the local club. Now I'm glad if I only see that many in nasty weather during a weekday! It's getting bad, and with the FLW making this a regular stop, it's only going to get worse. I want to fish it in 2 years, but am afraid that WHEN I win it (LOL) all the little tourneys guys will want to book me like this past year and my spots will get exploited. The responsibilites of living on the world's best bass lake are tough huh Bob? Maybe I should throw the tourney and save the lake. I'll just go out and win St Clair for my money and publicity and send the waves of anglers over there! LOL If you believe this I've got some 14lb smallie pics I want to show you too!
