Jordan I just saw your post asking about Bass fishing. I fish in the West Wego area. Bayou Segnett, to be exact. It is the same location the Bass Masters Classic is held, when it is in New Orleans. It is a great fishery, getting better every day. They have caught several fish lately over 10 lbs.. That is not big for some areas, but great here in Louisiana. It was stocked with Florida strain fingerlings a few years ago. It is easy to get to, and I would be glad to help in anyway. It is going to be good till about July, when it gets hot( the weather). There are other areas closer to you that are good. Houma, Bayou Black, Lake Boeuf, Des Allemands. I fish all these areas, but Segnette is 5 minutes from my house........ hard to pass it up.
