Building a new Encore. Any experience with "hanger bars" - good / bad / worth the money?

All the best,

Glenn

No experience, but would do it if I were having a longer stiff barrel in a high pressure caliber made. I like the Bergara just based on design and looks.... What caliber you looking into?

I'm experimenting. I bought a scuffed up blued receiver for a decent price. I'm Duracoating it in Tactical Black. I purchased an M4 style fully adjustable stock for it, made by Choate Machine. The barrel I plan to add for me to shoot it is a 24" standard taper .308 barrel. I have a Harris bipod to add to it too, which is my main reason for considering the bars. I'm thinking of purchasing a 18" heavy profile 6.8SPC for my son to shoot. The stock is pretty nice. Takes less than a second to drop it from my LOP to his.

All the best,

Glenn

Glenn,

Good article in the last American Rifleman on hunting with the 6.8. Good info on bullet selection and loads.

Dang. I stopped getting it. Thanks for the info though. I appreciate it. I've been looking through Ammoguide though. Great information available there.

All the best,

Glenn
