Regarding:

Rob Sisk,

Can you drive your boat with the bimini top up? I took mine off as soon as I bought my boat. I look over the top of the windshield when on plane. I'm either too tall or the windshield is too short!! I have a brand new top in the cover hanging in the garage. I also made two of your rod holders and they are pretty slick. Thanks for the idea.

Bob,

Yea I can drive with it up but I have to slouch down in my seat to peer out the windshield. It's a real pain. Too bad nitro didn't switch to a top like the 188 sooner. What type of top did you purchase and where. I looked into a custom stainless steel top with no straps near KY lake and was blown away by the cost. I was quoted $1250.00. I'd like to get a top but I could buy all new rods and reels with that. If you haven't installed your top yet, you should document the progress and post it in the grab bag.

Glad to see you made a rod holder...they come in pretty handy.

Rob,

Sorry for the late response. I have been on vacation for the last five days without the internet!!!!! I have the factory bimini top that came with the boat. I thought that all of the fish n ski's come with the same top.

Bob,

Hope you had a great vacation.

I guess I misunderstood your term "brand new top" I thought you discarded the factory top and bought a new, more functional top. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with a custom top. I'll post some pics when completed
