HELP

I have a chance to buy a brand new (never been in the water) pro 175 Special Edition as shown in catalog, for $6 G.. I fish very small lakes and res. Most 250 acres or less. Go many days without ever starting motor. What I need to know is if the standard 25 hp will plane the boat off and operate satisfactoraly if for some reason I need to get going?

I have a 25hp on mine and it works great when I use it in the river. I only bought it with a 25hp because every lake in my area only allows electric motors. I get about 19 to 22 mhp out of it and it planes fine. I can pull a tube with it as well!

Thanks guys. It is now in my garage. Freight, tags,titles,dealer prep ect brought the invoice to $10,400; a girl won it in a Pepsi promotion and didn`t need a boat but needed a car. $6,000 sounded like a good price to me..
