I have a 95 nitro Rick Klun edition and I’m trying to figure out if I can pour my oil for my 2 stroke down into the tank straight or do I need to mix it first

Hi there; Since long before and after our 1995 2000DC, we always added our own oil to the tank for the engines.
However, we put the oil in a small, 2 to 5 gallon tank and shook it so as to mix it well. Then we poured the mix into the boat tank.
Sort of like with the 3 to 6 portable tanks for smaller engines. Never did trust pouring the oil straight into the fill-tube on a boat.
