Andy here from the Warner Robins area. I have had a 2005 NX750 with a 115 Merc Opti for about 4 years now and still love it. Its been a solid boat so far but every once and a while a minor repair is needed. Lately I have been noticing that my steering has been getting stiffer. I drove my buddies Triton with a 115 last weekend and was amazed at how easy it was to turn. After disassembling my rack and pinion at the helm, and checking the tilt tube, I determined that it was in fact the cable assy that was binding. I found a post on here from Mike M in 2012 and was able to use his advice and order a better/longer Teleflex SSC15414 cable for my replacement. I have a tourney this Saturday so I will be swapping it out sometime next week. So thank you NITRO & TRACKER forum!
