yesterday, i broke my ring finger on my left hand. And as luck would have it i have a tourny this weekend. My question is how long should it take to heal and how long will it stay discolored and swollen. I should be able to fish but will have to use an open face reel.

Take some Vicodin and soak it in cider...you should be fine:huh:

Depending on age and health, 6 to 8 weeks should cover it........ You are going to find out how often you use/bump that finger that you never knew.

I think you are going to have serious problems fishing in a TX this weekend. I broke one of my fingers last year during hunting season and it was no fun at all....like Bruce said you are going to bump that finger 10 times a day. it stoped hurting after a few weeks, but I was not able to have full motion of it for about 6 weeks. At night I would wear the finger splint, during the day I would wear nothing.

tee,

i took some vicoden and it did nothing, now i am up to oxycotn and naperson for swelling.

cider? never heard that one. is that for the black and blue color

Sat it slooooowwwly there Mike:p Soak it where?:lol::lol::lol:

Man if your takin' Oxy...BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously!

I almost lost my best friend due to him getting hooked on the stuff and actually opened the door for herion use...SERIOUSLY! Use it sparingly....don't know whether I would use it at all...I've seen first hand what it can do.

Don't get me wrong...it is a great drug but, easily abused because of it's addictive nature.:(

Man, no one ever gives me the good drugs...

Unless you can cast and retrieve with one hand, you're sitting out on that tourney. Imagine trying to cast with that hand... you know, the "whip" action. Your finger will be flipping you off by the second cast. And then there's the hand that you have to retrieve with. While the finger may not be doing anything, it's still along for the ride.

But most importantly, I told you not to flip that cop off...
