Have a GREAT weekend everyone,....I've gotta work all day and it's STUUPID busy around here,.....won't have time to check back here much. After work, I'm loading up the family and headin' down to my Mom's for the weekend. My brother and sisters and their families will all be there too. Thursday a.m., I'm going deer hunting with my brother and friday a.m. we're going pheasant hunting!! CAN'T WAIT!!

Unlike so many families (siblings anyway)..we all get along reallly GREAT together and we have a riot when we can all hook up! We're having an oven roasted turkey and a deep fried one as well...friday we're having a "wild game dinner" and it'll all be augmented with martini's and cuban cigars!!...Man, the hedonism never ends!! My family ROCKS!!



anyway,...best wishes to all of you for a happy and safe weekend...drive carefully and we'll hook back up here sunday evening!!

{{{{{{{YAWN}}}}}}}}}} .....Morning Mac, same with me working today, (Uncle Sugar did give us 3 hours of leave) so I'll be hangin for a while....Going to friends tomorrow, they are from Paris so we are having a Parisian Turkey day, lotsa wine anyway!! Going down to Farmville to pick up my new leather recliner sometime this weekend and hitting the James River with KB and CIII as long as this rain doesn't raise the creek too high!!



Everybody traveling be careful and most of all be thankful for what we have, be especially thankful for those fighting to keep us safe.

My niece always has the family over and does a great job. She's the one who is going to have to take care of me when I'm old and decrepit.. Ummm, wait a minute

The bad part for this day is I have a funeral to attend this afternoon. My very best friend growing up and a man I knew for 50 years passed away Monday from liver cancer. I'm taking his Mom to the service. She has outlived both of her boys and her husband. I didn;t want to put a damper on this thread but had to talk about it a little.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. It will be a quiet one for our family as our son is in Houston, and works most of the weekend. Storms are now coming our way, so it will be wet and windy today. Better this weekend.



Doing the traditional meal tomorrow for just the wife and I. Roast turkey with a cornbread stuffing, with most of the standard trimmings.



Hope everyone will join me in raising a toast to our Armed Forces Personnnel, no matter where they are stationed, and hope that all come home safely. May the good Lord keep all of you in the hollow of his hand.

I strongly agree with the statement that "friends are the chocolate chips in the cookie of life"... It is hard to let go... but the memories will be warm moments in the future. Filling a void in your friend's mother's life is a great tribute to your friend.

Looks like I'll be guiding my cousins from across the state on pheasants and taking my son back from college, rifle shooting.

Happy Thanksgiving all! I am cooking this year. Plus, on Monday, opening day of Deer, I am taking Russ up to his dad's farm for an afternoon of "hunting". He can't shoot a rifle, but I will have mine and he will have my .357. We are going to sit on the back porch of his cabin which butts up against the woods and wait for a deer. I know he will only make it about 15 minutes, but all the guy wants to do is go hunting. His doctor o.k.d the conditions, so Russ and I are going to shoot a deer!

Gang - I'm in OK at the In Laws! They are GREAT people and a BLAST! Already taken the kids and one brother-n-law to BPS holy land. Dad-n-law took me and the other brother to an Indian Casino on Mon night!!! A LOT of food, drink and the kids are having a BALL with the family!



We're actualy doing the "Feast" today, as we all leave on Friday morning and the Inlaws don't want a LOT of left overs! The Turkey's are in the Smoker, lots of fresh pies and garden grown veggies! Cold Beer, wine, soda, icecream and a LOT of chocolate!!!



Everyone have a safe and happy Turkey day!!!
