You too, Rich! Thanks for another great year and for providing this awesome outlet for us to hang out, chat, fight, be silly, learn and make funny noises (Tox).

I hope 2003 is even more fun and brings lots of good fortune for you and your family!

Rich...Thanks for making this site 'happen' for all of us to enjoy so much! We really do appreciate it! The best to you and your family in the coming year!......Mike L.

Happy New Year Rich. Thanks for all you do with the site. Number 1 in my book!!!!!

Happy New Year Rich and family! Thank you for this incredibly helpful forum. My New Year's resolution...take Stern fishing!

P.S. How goes the "battle of the bulge"?

Dan...if your New Years resolution is to take me fishing, I'm gonna do everything I can to make sure you don't fall off the wagon this year! :)

Fished Lanier last Friday with Jeanne, we posted a goose egg, but we were thrilled to see the lake so full!

Battle of the bulge: Got down as low as 173, hovering around 180 after the holiday binge. I feel a whole lot better than back in September when I started. It's time to start working on it again. 170 is still the goal!

Great to hear about the success! I hope I still recognize you!! Man, you're gonna think I'm pitiful, but over the last week I've been fishing more off the dock with shiners than out in a boat. My little boy and I have been catching some nice spots(2-3lb.ers), stripes up to 10-12lbs., catfish (one flathead about 10lbs.), white bass, crappie, AND carp! Yes carp on shiners! (As Leilo would say,"an abomination!")I'm noticing the herring getting shallower, especially in the evening, and just about everything that swims is investigating the "new" shallows, more in the afternoon. When the herring, gizzards, and threadfin get comfy enough to hang shallow longer, all heck will break loose.(Usually mid Feb. depending on temp. trends.)We've got to hook up soon and play catch up! The next couple months will be busy with boat shows, Spring Classics, and tourneys, however I'll have a few 3-4 day breaks around the house. If we can't stretch our skins in a ride, maybe we can plant ourselves in a lawn chair over the brush pile, or both!(Gotta have a fall back plan in case we Trep up, ummm, I mean trip up.LOL!)Maybe after the 18th-19th? Holler when you get the itch!(I bet if we ask real nice, Trepster might join us?!)

Happy new year to all!!
