1 dead 2 injured in bassboat collision in florida, just a reminder to be safe, wear a life vest, cuz you never know when someone may be rounding the corner your fishing at 70 MPH.....

One of the other guys died today at the hospital. Two Bass boats, one a big Triton, and the other was so messed up I couldnt tell what it was. All this on a small lake, less than 200 yards accross, but the time you get on plane, it's time to come down. Since the public ramp is on this little lake, most people go slow through there, when going from canal to canal.



This happened on the Butler Chain of Lakes, where the county has a posted speed limin of 40 moh. they still had the area roped off today, attempting to figure out how this could have happened.



Both fatalities were on the same boat. Father & Son



Damn shame.

Which boat had the fatalities I would think the one just sitting there fishing. I also noticed, by what I could see, the Triton had a regular seat up front and it was raised. You can't see anything in front of you like that.

The way is sounds so far ( investigation still underway) the Triton was moving, and the other boat was at anchor or moving very slowlt. Both fatalities were on the sliw moving boat. Looks like it got hit right at the drivers seat area.

Man o' man... Just sitting there fishing, went out for a nice day on the water, and now they're dead and two families are grieving. The two that hit them are really in for it I would guess.

It's got to be some sort of homicide or at the very least voluntary manslaughter wouldn't you all think? And if drinking is involved they may never see the light of day involved.

So there is (probably) four families torn apart over this. Tragic.
