Unbelievable weather here in the mitten. Geeez,.....had low 70's all weekend and SUN!! Hi 60's today....70's tomorrow...80 on Weds!!! I just wonder..."When will we pay the piper for THIS!?"..LOL sleet and freezing rain in May?? Sure makes it nice to get the boat maintenance done a month earlier than normal....LOVIN' that!! New power steering installed,..new LED trailer lights installed...new radio and a couple gauges on order,..they will arrive Thursday...and they'll get installed before the weekend!!

Something tells me the "S&T Research vessel" will be getting a workout this weekend,...if not sooner!!!

Yepper, Forsythia is in full bloom, Japanese Magnolia the same and the dogwoods are starting to open up. I also got an ornamental Peach theat is full -on going right now. Tomorrow is the peak for the Cherry Blossoms on the Tidal Basin. I might just head down and have lunch....oh wait, the bass are bedding in the Potomac. I am gonna be sick tomorrow..:lol::lol: Pictures to follow.

Usually don't have to think about Dale Hollow til' April...may be leaving this week...crazy weather!

And yes Mac...we'll have our March weather then:lol::wacko:

I'll be on Kentucky Lake next week. Can't wait to use the new prop. (The crappies are jumping into the boats.)

weather here in the UK is still kidna cool. But looks like the trees want to open here as well.

Carlos H. By UK do you mean United Kingdom? I may be wrong. If it does, I was stationed in England in the earlier 70's near Cambridge with the Air Force.

Barry from La.

Mac - we'll pay alright. Mosquitos, biting flies, ants, termites, wood bees are all out in force around Virginia. On top of that, for those who suffer seasonal allergies, that season has started early and promises to be long and tortuous. Ugh, winter does have its uses!! Then again, hard to beat fishing in shirt sleeves in mid-March!

Amen to THAT Jimbo,.....I've killed a bunch of skeeter's already in my garage while working on my boat!! I've heard several times on the news already that this year's batch of bugs is going to be especially bad!! Gotta love the short sleeves and short pants in March though.......we're going to hit 80 today and tomorrow....breaking records right and left!! Now,.....if we can keep gas below $4.00 a gal....we'll be golden!! LOL

Nothing like being blessed with 2 additional mos. of boating season up here and affordable gas to go with it!! Awesomeness!!! ahahaah

I had the boat out yesterday chasing panfish. Limited out on gills and got a bonus of 13 nice perch.

I even got to play with the new side image unit I bought. It was tough, play with the fishfinder or set the hook on another nice bluegill. :)

I hope we don't have a 60 degree summer because we've used up all our good weather in March. This weather will probably change the timing of the smallies on Clair won't it?

It might,....will probably move everything up if this continues.....the water temp is still cold, but we keep poppin' 70-80 deg days and it'll speed things up ina hurry!!

It will...Dale's on fire right now! Another week and they're on the nest..that happens towards the end of April if that gives you an idea of how fast things are moving.

Never seen 85 degree weather in MARCH!

The bass have moved up early on the Potomac and we caught a bunch yesterday but none were bedders. I think the warm weather and water temps bring them up early but they still try to hold off until the lunar cycle is right (more traditional). Of course you can't see them in the river but until I catch a bass with a ripped up tail on a spawning flat, I won't be convinced they are truly spawning. We were at more than 1 place on the river as well.

I just read a report at Dale and a guy said he'd never seen that many SM up shallow just sunnin'.

Sorry, gotta' hit the lake...BYE!

Seems like we never really had a winter in the southeast. It was more like an extended fall and the fishing has been fantastic. My boy hooked, and lost at the boat, his first double digit largemouth and set his personal best at 8lb. 7oz. We just broke a record of 8 days continuously of 80+ degree weather and pollen counts of 9,000+

The lake I was on had temps around 55 degrees already.

I can remember some 70s In December and cutting the grass on the golf course every month of the year but Never have I seen anything like this..It's been air cond weather here but I refuse to start that ( would do my allergies good) It was 84 yesterday been In the 80s for the past week maybe longer 10 days I think..

We won't get away free though..I can remember crappie fishing first of June and snow coming down wearing gloves and winter coat with the heater on In the houseboat...But My arthritis Is loving the warmth..

JR:)

It's bizzare for sure,..we've been sleeping at night with the windows open......and I don't mean "cracked"......I'm talkin' OPEN!!!...ahahhaa....in MARCH!!! Gotta love it!

It was 86 in my truck's mirror thermometer y'day on the way home!! crazy!!!

Today is our last day of 5 days of record temps for March, then back to 50's and 60's for daytime highs. We're still way above normal temps.

Tox,.....why is it when someone says "cracked".......you gotta mention SPEEDO!??
