Good morning everyone. Mid 80's and thunderstorms today. I slept throught the night last night and feel pretty sarn good this morning. I went to the doctors yesterday and she told me to keep taking the meds just as I am doing now. I said Okie-dokey. I met Nancy at the doctors office and she had flowers with her. I said "Thanks, is that for our anniversary?"

She said "nope, they're not even for you. They're for the doctor". She's made you feel a lot better and I thought she deserved these." Isn't she a trip?:) AND, the doc is REALLY cute..:p

Steve...Happy Birthday and Anniversary

JDJ.. Happy Birthday Both a day too late but better than nothing isn't it?

Everyone have a great and safe day.

Uncle Billy

Morning all. Bill, it makes me feel good that you are doing better. Have a good one, Chris F.:)

Good morning Uncle Bill, TEE, Chris F and all. Thanks for the good wishes Bill. I hope that you and Nancy had a good day.

Now if the Vols will just beat the Gators on Saturday:cool:, that will make the week perfect. Don't tell Cheryl I said that!

Steve

Morning all... May be sad day around here, our last dog, Echo, can't get up this morning. Her back end (hips I figure) aren't working she can barely stand and can't walk. Have a 10am appt with the Vet. She's 14 years old, completely blind, no thyroid (to speak of), incontinent and has teeth problems :(

I had the kids say good bye to her before they left for school. I'm going out back to dig a hole and be ready for the worst. If we put her down this morning, she'll be next to her sister, pebble, we put down 2 months ago. Kids will pick out a tree after school.

Yo,....mornin!!

Hey Trep...Take the kids to the animal shelter and "adopt" one of the homeless pets from the gulf coast!! We had 32 come up to SE. Mi. and t hey've had 100's of calls for those 32!!

pretty cool...

Mac

Hey Trep - Don't go and adopt a pet at the shelter. You can adopt one of my kids! :p Or maybe all of them!:p:p:p

Really sorry to hear about your dog. Ours is a little Jack Russell and we would be devastated if someting happened to him so I know what you and kids are going through. The tree is a grear idea. All the neighborhood dogs can come by and memorialize your two dogs by lifting their legs on the tree(s). :D

Mac - Assuming we put her down today, we're planning to be loose petless (we have a rabbit still) for a while.

Bill in VA - I got 2, dont need ANYmore kids!!!

Trep

As a devote dog man I can feel your pain. I'm still grieving the loss of my Vizsla, Huck, who died a year and a half ago.

Hey you can take my two kids also. They won't even have to live with you. You just need to pay for their college.LOL

fatrap

Trep - My kids are grown and gone. You get adults who pay their own way, two married, one granddaughter, one granddaughter on the way and the last one is engaged and getting married in Vegas next year. They are self-sustaining. They just visit us at the lake too much and eat all our food!

Bill - If they'll come and PAY for my kids when they go to college, and do chores (clean, mow the law, wax the nitro...) its a deal!!

Fattrap - its though to see her this way this morning, I had to carry her down the flight of stairs from the deck and out to the grass and then back up to her bed. She's trying to get up and her usual roaming around the house but can't get up. 14 years, 2 states, 3 houses, 2 kids, she's lived a long happy doggie life

Good Morning All

Bill I am glad your new meds are working out and hope it keeps up. I took so much pain and sleeping dope last night I should sleep all day but I still had to sleep sitting up in the recliner and just wok up. At least I don't feel to bad and I am going to head up to the office now for a while.

Thanks for the b-day wishes, I usually forget them unless my wife or someone reminds me.

Take care.

Trep you know it's time. She probably does too. Good luck. I really do know how you feel.

fatrap

Fattrap - She's gone. Vet agreed that at her age her muscles are just too weak to support that 50lb frame with her other ailments and arthritis. She's now buried in the backyard with a pear tree above her and her color on her tree.

Now gotta go to work :-(

Trep, Sorry to hear about your friend (dog).. Our Sammy left us last year, he was 12 years old and lots of arthritis. We now have 4 sort-of-mini weiner dogs who almost tore up the couch this morning between the time my wife left for work and the time I got up (less than hour) so, how many of them do you want me to send to you???!!!;) Take care all and good morning, ah, I am afternoon. God bless.

Jeff

Jeff - We keep LOOKIng at mini-weiner dogs, they are SOOOO CUTE!!! But i'd PERSONALY like to go a few months w/out dogs, get the house cleaned up, de-furred and ready through holidays. Who knows though. Our next mutt will most likely be a smaller pocket dog for traveling easily.

Michael,

I'm so sorry to hear about Echo. Trust me, she knew how much you guys loved her and rest assured, she loved all of you very much. Now, do you was Sandy, Buddy, or Newt?

Bill

I'm NOT taking a Newt (gingrich or otherwise)! Though Noah had a Anole and would LOVE a newt or other lizzard!!!

Thanks for a the concern on Echo.

My Little Long Haired Chahuahua is a barrell of monkeys:lol:

Sparky loves to go fishin' and those liitle guys are a breeze to take care of and handle too:D

Once again Trep, my condolences. It leaves a big hole in your heart. Echo will be waiting at the rainbow bridge.

Take care,

fatrap
