Good morning everyone.. Steamy hot and muggy here today with the chance of thunderstorms. Another Doctor yesterday but no new news.. I tried to set up my appointment for a spinal tap yesterday but the Doc wrote the referral slip wrong somehow so I have to get with him before I can get it done. NOT that I'm looking forward to it. Nancy has been off on vacation (some vacation, taking care of me) and has to go back to work today. She's not liking it either. I guess I'm less trouble than her work is.

Coffee's on so help yourself.

Hey Bubby,



To answer your question, yes I did feel better before the surgery but that's not saying much.

Remember, this was my second back surgery. The sciatic nerve problem that I had and that would put me out of commision for days at a time is fixed. The problem I now have is nerve damage all over the place. My surgeon told me he did not know how I was even walking and that I had a lot of crushed nerves. Most of my Doctor's think the problem I now have is the nerve endings coming back to life and trying to reattach themselves where they are supposed to go. I think the surgeon messed up and did something wrong but you'll never get any of them to admit to that. Do I wish I never had it done? Yes and no..I think that if this nerve crap wasn't going on and I could be more active my back would feel fine. It will never be good. I have to remember that there's a lot of metal back there now and take it easy. Anyway, everyone's working on trying to get me better so I try to keep good thoughts about it. Depression was creeping in but I think I got a grip on that. Being able to write about my problems here on NTOWS has greatly helped with that. It may bore you guys to death but it helps me. Anyway, thanks for asking.

I know my Brother in law Russ still experiences a lot of back pain from his surgeries. Doctors told him the same thing, pain from nerve endings trying to reconnect.
