Good morning everyone. Another hot and humid day coming up. I didn't have a good night so I guess these new meds aren't going to do the trick either. I'm supposed to double the dosage on a couple of them today so we'll see how that does. Getting up early this morning isn't so bad though because one of the best westerns ever made is on tv. "The Culpeper Cattle Company". At least I think it's one of the best and to me anyway it looks to be very realistic.

Coffee is on and ok, apple fritters too so Greg doesn't pout.:)

Everyone have a great and safe day.

Uncle Billy

Morning- Two words-Hot/sticky !! I had to work Fri night. Thought I would disolve !! Then the thunderstorms, power out everywhere. Miserable night. Cant figure which is worse, this or Jan and Feb when its freezing???

Good Morning, Uncle Billy!

Left the alarm off so I could sleep in this morning past my usual 5:00 am time..... 5:21 was all the further I could make it! I am such a morning person!

Best Western Ever: "The Unforgiven" starring and directed by Clint Eastwood!

Best "Feel Good" Movie Ever: "Breaking Away"!

Best Movie Ever: Tie between "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Grand Prix"!!

Best Movie Music Ever: "Lawrence of Arabia" music composed by by Jarre!!!

(Just went and put the music CD on after writing this! Copies avaiable on request!)

Good morning all. I hate to disagree with you Billy and Staci, but the best western ever made is a tie betwwen The good, the bad and the ugly and Lonesome Dove #1 (2, 3 and 4 sucked).

It's going to be REALLY hot here today, glad I'll sleep through it.

See ya in the morning,

Steve

Mornin,

I happen to be watching 'My Darlin Clementine' with Henry Fonda Nothing better than a cup coffee and a good classic western. :D

morning the best western I think was The Shootist with John Wayne

JD:):D

Well I agree that was a good one and anything with the Duke is usually good but I prefferred McClintock or the Cowboys.

Mornin everyone.

Best Western(theres one down the street), couldn't resist.

Any Duke one is pretty well qualified. I liked it when he rescued his grandson. I always wanted to name a dog "Dog" after that movie.

Good Morning 'Yall:D

I could never pick the very best western ever but here's my list of favorites:

1. Rio Bravo (1959)Duke, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, but Walter Brennan steals the show. Howard Hawks made this movie as a "rebutal" to High Noon which both Hawks and John Wayne hated the Gary Cooper character.

2. She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949) John Wayne as the old Trooper on his last mission. John Ford's masterpiece, especially the thunderstorm on the desert scene that was un-planned but Ford shot the scene anyway.

3. Shane (1953) I was never much of an Allen Ladd fan but I love this story of the gunslinger who is trying to escape his past but just can't seem to get far enough away. One of the great Good vs Evil stories of all time.

4. Lonesome Dove (1989) One my very favorites. "A man that won't cheat for a poke, just don't want a poke bad enough" ...gotta love it. You have to read the book and if you like that then read Dead Man's Walk which is the story of Gus and Woodrow in their early days as Texas Rangers.

5. Dances With Wolves The movie is great but if you really want to know what life was like among the plains Indians read the book, it's one of the best reads you'll ever have.
