Here in MN, the snow has all melted and the temps were starting to warm up. Now they are forecasting snow, freezing rain and cold temps all weekend.

To make matters worse, I just signed the papers today on my new Nitro 911 CDC. I have the bug now more than ever.

This is my first glass boat. Any tips or suggestions from any of you veteran glass owners?

Congratulations on your new boat. You sure stepped up and bought the best for your first. My favorite too. If it were tin it would be perfect! LOL Center dual console PT 185---cool I'm a buyer.

The best sugguestion I can give you to get out on the lake sooner is to hitch that baby up and drive on down here to Oklahoma and I'll take you out to some 60 to 65 degree water and some preeee-spaaaaan action. Better still, come on down to Lake Fork next weekend for our mini-rally. It's only a 24 hour drive--no big deal huhh?

Welcome to the board--come back often.

Lud,

make double sure you are straight on the motor break in procedure so as not to risk voiding any warranty. congrats on the boat as that should be a really nice rig. You may want to get a bottle of 303 spray and go over the entire boat with it including the seats and dash. This will keep the UV from fading the materials of the boat. I think their website is 303products.com

Thanks Harpo and JD:

I really can't wait to get out on the water. I just traded my 1999 Pro Team 185 in on my 911. I can't say enough about the quality Tracker puts in their boats.

I'm not sure if I need a locator on it? Think I will run with the flashers this summer and then decide next winter whether or not I need to get a locator. Have never used a flasher on open water. Use one all the time ice fishing.

Need to go out and get a spare. Don't want to take any chances. Also have ordered a tournament cover for it.

I am planning on league fishing this summer while waiting to get into the local Bass Club.

Thanks again.
