Stopped at our Kroger gas station last night because their price was $2.08 for 87 octane. Was pleased to find out they're running a new discount deal (for the moment):
For every $100 (per calendar month) you spend in the Kroger store, you receive a $0.10 discount at the pump up to 20 gallons. Use your Kroger card at the pump and it automatically applies the discount. We filled-up the wife's truck (needed about 18 gallons) and we got the fuel for $1.98 a gallon! So, we came home and I turned around and took my truck back to the station but only received the usual $0.03 cent on the gallon discount (using Kroger card), but I still got it at $2.05, which makes it the cheapest gas in town at the moment. Remember, it's $.10 off for every $100 you've spent in a calendar month.
