Anyone here have any experience with G3 boats. Looked at one over the weekend at the sportsman show and was pretty impressed. They had a special edition package on a 17 footer that looked pretty nice. Any input on Yamaha motors, looking at a 25 four stroke would be appreciated also. The salesman offered me more for my Savage than my local Tracker dealer did. Go figure.

i dont have any direct experience with g3 but a guy in my club has one that he bought from another member in my club. both guys have had zero problems with the boat. yamaha makes a great motor.

Scott,

The G3s are nice boats. The upper end models are very similar to an Xpress. And Yamaha makes a fine outboard. If I was in the market for a mod-v aluminum hull, G3s would be on the list.

Scott..I hate to say it but, if I would have bought another boat it probably would have been a HP 18 ft. series w/150 hangin' off the back. Go to Boatboys.com and check out that HP series...MAN they are SWEET! Good lookin' boat right next in line to the Express.

I almost took a sponsorship from a G3 dealer in Albany but declined it. I know they are sweet rigs for tin. I liked the glass they had, but Skeeter dropped them as they competed with their primary line. Can't tell you much about the baots, but the Yamaha motors are awesome. Fast, very fast, great on gas, quiet, and you don't hear near as many complaints about blown heads as with their competitors. If I had a choice of what motor to run next it would be Yamaha with Merc a very close second.

Anybody know the price of the 19' with the 175 hp on the back? That is one sweet boat.
