Just got back from the Dallas area w/a new truck for my son.



My first Dodge to ever be associated with. Has 5.7 Hemi and it's awesome I think it will make a great tow vehicle. If the mileage don't stink.

That 5.7 hemi sure is one awesome motor. Did you son get the 1500 or a 2500? I have a buddy who just picked up a 2500 4x4 with the hemi a few months ago. Its a great truck and an awesome motor but the mileage does stink. He gets around 9.5 to 10 city. i too was a GM guy my whole life until last may when i got my Dodge Dakota, i guess im a dodge guy now because i really like it.

i have a 96 w/125k miles on it and it is still going strong. my first dodge also and i have been very happy with it. my next truck if that time comes, will probably be a dodge. its good to have a friend at the dealer also.

Jim he got the 1500, I hope his mileage is better than that. If it is that poor I won't consider a Dodge over my Z71 cause I get 11 towing and 15 just messing around, 5.3 vortec.

I would hope the 1500 would do better on gas then my buddy's truck. His truck is a 2500 4x4 quad cab ad he also had 4.10 gears in it, its truly a heavy duty truck.
