Further the fuel line discussion

After all the talk on ethanol and fuel lines I happened to see a ethanol resistant kit at Walmart. Do any of you have any experience with the Attwood OMC Fuel Line Hose Kit? My dad runs a Yamaha on his Javelin and his mechanic warned against using them. I wondered if this was just a ploy to make him buy from his shop and not Walmart. I have the Mercury 25hp 2 cyl on my little Tracker. I plan on adding a water separator filter and new fuel filter to this. Any recommendations?
