I have a Nitro 700lx.when boat is stored in garage I can

smell gas fumes in the rod locker.but I dont see any leaks

in the tank or lines.

Check your bilges for gas. The rod lockers on my 170 drain into the bilges via a little hole with a plasic grommet in it. The fumes could have seeped in there from that.

ROB,

My 170TF has always had fumes in the rod locker and I think others have said the same on this board. Do a search for "fumes" and maybe more info will come up.

All boats have it for some reason..The darn ranger has that smell and no leaks.. but whats worse is My Cooler has beer fumes just can't seem to get rid of It so I sprayed mine with Curve Cologne...It works.....Damm Cabin Fever....Jr

I've heard people say my rods stink but I thought they were just commenting on the cheapo gear. Dang, I may have to check for fumes now too ;-)
