Reference my boat (2002 PT-185) becoming a Bath Tub, I have received a new fuel tank from Tracker. Does anybody have any tips on replacing the fuel tank. Plastic tank looks to be a bit too big to just slide out/in.

Does the rear deck lift up?

Thanks,

LN

Leftnut:

I have a 1999 PT185, and I replaced the carpeting this spring. The rear deck is made of 5 seperate pieces of aluminum. The sheets are rivited and screwed in place. Strip off the carpet and drill out the rivits. You should be able to remove and replace the fuel tank by removing the panel directly to the rear of the livewell. Good luck, hope this helped.

Thanks Mike. That's the info I was looking for. Should have my new fuse box from Tracker next week. So major repairs next weekend.

Thanks to all who have helped me out.
