I have a question...its seems that the gas gauge on my boat is about a 1/4 of a tank off in the way it reads....is there any way to fix this problem.

thanks in advance for the help.....

Nope, they're all like that. I ran out of gas last year and speared a wave because of it. It's just the nature of how they are designed. Just learn how to judge it, and most importantly, open your bilge and look at the tank. You can usually see the level and know truly how much you have.

The accuracy of the guage is dependant on the design of the tank and the sending unit being used. Most are off a bit.

Rob, you can look at the tank when it is exposed, but some manufacturers have their gas tanks mid-ship. You cant see them.
