from 90HP max to 115HP.....why?

Just curious if anyone knows what they did to the PT185 in newer models that rates them for 115 vs. my '01 being rated for 90 max?

Yep..boxed aluminum now but, Patt..didn't you say they set too low with a 115? How much weight diff between the two?

Why not the PT 175 to a 90hp ?

wait wait wait.......the reason is ....is the pt 185 new boat is wider than my pro-18 which is maxed for 90hp. the boat is widerr ok ive checked and thass what tracker told me. my 90hp runs my boat right at 54 or 55 with ss prop. what else is needed to know email me at [email protected] im a pro at tracker boats ok, all ive ever dealt with.......paul.

The beam doesn't have anything to do with it. Mine's an 02' and is the same width as an 05'. It's becuase of no wood in the transom.
