We had our first high school football game last night and boy was it a relief from all the pain and misery on TV lately. It was such a pleasure to sit out there on a beautiful summer evening and soak in all the sounds and color and action of a great high school football game. My son plays in the band for Edmond Santa Fe HS we played crosstown rival Edmond Memorial. Last year we beat them pretty bad so this year they were ready for revenge and since our star running back/safety, Reggie Smith is now starting for OU, we weren't too sure that they might not be able to pull off a win. The Memorial Bulldogs scored first with a 3 point chip in but the Santa Fe Wolves domonated the 2nd and 3rd quarters. The Bulldogs scored a TD late in the 4th to finish the game at, Santa Fe 20--Memorial 10. It was a great time.
