Hi Tom:

I see you have a z7.I have 591 same thing.

Mine is 2008 with 200 opitmax.I have 6"

jackplat, hot foot, trim switch.I am 3 1/2"

below pad.I think i need to raise it a bit.

But I still need 2 more hours of break in.

So far 69 gps at 5300 rpm.I know there is

more pedal and rpm's there.Just need 2 more

hr. till break in.What is your set up?

Also water pressure is 22.

I have had a merc. for 15 years always

had good water pressure.I change my water

pump every year.I am on the water 75 to

8o days a year so I use my boat.As far as

a jackplate,if you are looking for speed that's

the way to go.I have a 25 tempest prop.I think

you will like the boat.You have a good set up.

You can always add a plate later.
