a canvas makes the diffrence in staying out for tht extra 3 hrs or so when its raining!been there, done that on my boat.not a full enclosure like that but a half from the windshield to the back of the seats.
I bought one of those umbrellas a few years back; when you're just sitting there, fishing for crappie or cats, it can be a life saver! But it also had a tendency of blowing out of the holder in the wind. I don't know what I did with the holder, but I still have the umbrella.
I once saw a low - just high enough to sit under - bimini top that could easily be removed from it's mountings and then folded in half so that it could easily be stored out of the way under the deck..... Anyone else see any of these or know who makes them?
I'm still considering the standard 2 or 3 bow bimini for the PC 175, with the removable pins so it come completely out/off. That way when were tubing, crusing or bream/catfishing Beka will be cooler and EVERYONE is happier!!
I have an inexpensive bimini...it is a life saver...shade when needed and helps keep rain to a manageable level when walleye fishing. Not much use if your casting for bass... But sitting and jigging it's great.
hmmmmm.......early May on Champlain, 42 degrees, raining, wind blowing from the north at 25 mph, 3 ft whitecaps, but fish are biting like crazy if you can last.......SOLD! I'll take it! LOL
Maybe I'll put my bimini top on for fishing in May..... What a concept!! I took mine off as soon as I bought it because I can't see when on plane. But 3 footers and the bow up in the air, I can't see anyways!!
