Folks in the Carolinas ?

I have the possibility for a promotion in the future which could entail a move to Spartanburg SC. I am familiar with Columbia and Charlotte. How far is Spartanburg from these 2 cities? Also, is there any big water, or good fishing close by? Another question, what game birds are there in the area if any? I have guide service and would like to run it there as well, but need info to help decide if this would be a good move for my family. Also, I am not sure of the standard of living, is a 50k+ a year job suitable to support a family in that area? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, after further discussions, there's potential for Chicago too. So I wouldn't be to far from Mac and Ken and campaign headquarters. I hear the Erie is the only competition to Champlain.

Scott, do you bird hunt? Are there any game birds down there?
