Does anyone have any idea where to get the custom boat wrap that they use on the FLW tour? My company wants to do this to a boat for the upcoming show season. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't know where it is done, but.....

Call Craftsmen Industries in St. Charles, Missouri. Ask for Penny or Muffin. Tell them Staci from Arrow sent you. They do all sorts of wraps for all sorts of vehicles including boats! They even built the Oscar meyer Weinermobile!

me!

Bill, I know that Ranger does them at the factory, but where they get them from I don't know. Let me make some calls tonight and see what I can find out for you.

Her real name is "Pam"..... But that simply doesn't fit. She is an extremely professional salesperson - but also one of the sweetest people you'd ever want to meet! People love to work with her because they know that they can trust her absolutely. I kinda nicknamed her "Muffin".....

Phone numbers for Craftsmen Industries are:

800-373-3575 or 636-940-8400

The companies name is Image Wrap. They do have a website, search for it. The cost on a 20 foot bass boat is about 2500 for the hull and cap, and a cover is a bout 900 more.

Can someone please explain to me what is meant by a 'boat wrap'? I'm disconnected on this one.

I'm assuming that you do not mean the protective wrapping that comes on it from the factory before prep.

It's the sponsor's and advertising logo's that are on the caps and hulls of the Pro's boats,...ala Snickers, Coleman, Nascar, etc...etc....you've seen those boats. It's a vinyl material just like the Nitro stickers we put on our trucks.

Same stuff all kinds of sign shops use.....it's just scanned in and made into a huge single piece of vinyl that can be installed on each side of a hull as well as on the top caps of a boat,....they look very cool, and they're as easy to peel off as they are to apply,..although application is best left to the professional installers!!

I want to design a "Scales and Tales" wrap for my next boat!! It will ROCK!!!!...ahahah

Mac

Tex, what Mac said. It's not paint when you see those sponsor boats, that way after a year, they just strip it off and underneath is nice sparkly regular finish, easier to sell. Plus Fuji, or Stanley, or Snickers doesn't want someone running around in a boat with their name on it, if their not actually sponsored by them. For reasons such as...see cheater thread, etc.

Hey Mac and Mini, ya know, Mike Leblanc, a local guy doing well bought Jerry Williams Land O lake boat this year and it still has the wrap on it. I know Jerry was trying to get Mike on the team but at the Everstart, Mike said the deal still hasn't been finalized. Could that be why they let him fish out of it with their wrap still on? He has fished the starts and LCI trail out of it. Jerry was in a borrowed boat at the Everstart awaiting his new boat. That just dawned on me. Hope Mike gets the deal. He is a worthy competitor, super nice guy, and local. It's time the southern folks realized us yankees can fish too! Got that Trep? LOL

I'm glad Tex asked that, 'cause I assume that they actualy PAINTED the boats to look like that, Serously!!! The Wrap thing makes more sence!

I'm guessing that is what's on my Targa. Not actually painted, but a 'wrap'. Makes sense.

Wonder if they have made any Slim Jim wrap???
