I would love to read this but it is pay walled.
I noticed in the link it mentions "specs". As an old florida boy myself no where else calls them that. I can hardly bring myself to say crappie.

Hmmmm on the paywall! The Bass and Spec fishing of late has been great.

They want you to subscribe to the paper to read the article. I am going to okeechobee in February. My parents still live there. I want to take my dad. He is 87 and gave up his boat and doesn't fish anymore. I have some great memories growing up on the O. Every Saturday morning it was up before the sun.

It snowed here yesterday and to read how warm it is down there and the bite is on... makes me homesick.
