Anybody have any "New Year's Fishin' Resolutions" they want to share?

Mine is gonna' be "Never Ever give up"!

Watched Mike Iconelli win that tournament Monday on ESPN and I've never seen anyone act like that(except me).

That guy has a "real love" for the sport and just inspired thehell outta' me!

Mine is to teach as many sportsman too take only what they need when fishing and hunting, I love the sport and want to share it with the next generations..

Hey Tee,

A good resolution, I don'y know how many times that's worked for me in tournaments. I've actually gone from no fish in the live-well to winning a tornament in the last ten minutes of fishing time remaining before heading in.

I liked how he said, "I was just talkin' about it"!!!

Now that was cool...I really got tickled at his reactions. I've always liked Mike...he seems to represent the "underdog".

To spend time on the water with my children and to teach my grandchildren how to fish

While on one hand, I didn't like his outburst during the Classic, on the other hand, I admire someone that has that dedication and exuberance.

Bottom line. He did very well, followed through, and really was enthused.

Better to see that, versus the ho-hum attitude that some others seem to have.

I would like to catch more bass than Trep and Scott - combined!

I like Tim Oliver's resloution too..kinda' falls along the line of " Shut up & Fish!".....:)

Become better in deep water tactics. Win more tournaments. Figure out how to fish for a living.

1. Quit second guessing myself while on the water... if my gut says move, move, if it says stay, stay, etc...

2. Quit letting the weather "forcast" talk me out of going... learn to deal with the wind/rain better (mostly the wind, but I have this "issue" with driving in the rain to the ramp...if it rains after we launch, no biggie).

3. learn new areas and new lakes... don't get stuck in a rut... remember that every trip is a singular adventure.

4. Dont let others reports of "lake is on fire" or "lake is dead" to influence my choices or expectations... see #3 ...every trip is a singular adventure.

1. Catch more fish then Bob G!!! LOL

2. Fish more often, and focus on a few lures to learn more.

3. Get the wife out fishing and on the boat more often.

4. Make sure nothing gets in my way of attending the 2004 NTOWS Rally!!

To win at least 1 of my tourneys this year.

To learn 3 new spots on Champlain this year.

And to take my kids more.

Hey Bob, we can take care of that on some Sunday afternoon in May! LOL

1. Get out fishin' with Trep, Bob G and/or Teri.

2. Let them catch the most and biggest fish.

3. Get a job that'll pay enough that I can get a new boat!

I agree with you Mac about the resolutions. It's easier not to make any at all!! I enjoy fishing with members of NTOWS and I am fortunate enough to live near 3 of them around Champlain and hope fish with them and more.
